I am a photographer artist
Masa means “source of life” and ZODROS is a surname originating in the Congo from which came the workers supposedly under contract after 1948, mainly landed in Marie Galante Guadeloupe and the name of my maternal grandmother.
I graduated in fine arts from Marseille and have a DEA in political sociology.

MY APPROACH
S ince I have been doing photography, I have given a special place to the portrait.
Very sensitive to people, to what they emit in photography, I have a small number of guinea pigs.
In my search for meaning, to all that I could experience as a black person, I turned to African spirituality and its origins.
First as a source of historical knowledge but also as a source of artistic inspiration.
I thus learned that the black is an off-center being, who must appeal to his origins to regain the place that has been given to him since the beginning of human history: that of guide, of being of exception, beauty and wisdom, in tune with its community and its natural environment.
MY OBJECTIVE
I give myself the mission as an artist to offer works inspired by an ancient know-how, a know-how in relation to the world and to the typically African universe. A knowledge of standing, which celebrates the beauty of Ebene !!
the goal is not essentially aesthetic, nor individual artistic research where the ego and my emotions are spread out in the world, not the goal is to bring forth imaginaries of productive emotions of beneficial waves !!!

Diplômée de Beaux-arts de Marseille Maryse TYENKEL RONEL dit Masa ZODROS prend la décision après une vingtaine d'années dans le domaine de la formation de se consacrer à temps plein à sa passion la photographie.
Sa formation en sociologie lui permet de mettre en lumière les multiples tendances de la construction d'identité du monde noir en réaction au mal être qui varient selon les générations, selon le lieu de résidence en Europe et le niveau d'acclimatation culturelle.
